Wanting to get started using Distance but don’t have any data? Distance ships with several example data sets which illustrate some of the functionality available in Distance.

This page lists supplementary projects, not shipped with Distance.

Example from Burt et al (in press): The data comes from a double-observer, line transect survey of ungulate faecal pellets. Of interest is the probability of detection for the two observers. The project contains analyses illustrating the options for the MRDS engine using both an independent observer configuration and a trial observer configuration.
