Distance Sampling: Estimating Abundance of Biological Populations (1993)

Distance Sampling was first published in 1993 by Chapman and Hall, and was subsequently reprinted in 1999 by the authors. It has now been superseded by a new book, Introduction to Distance Sampling, which is available from Oxford University Press. As a service for those not able to purchase copies of the new book, we have archived an electronic copy of the 1993 book at this web site. However, we recommend use of the new book whenever possible.

To facilitate downloading, the book has been divided up into several PDFs, approximately one for each chapter. The total size of the files is approximately 30 MB.
